Apple have rolled out an update to its iBooks app which should improve the reading experience on all iOS devices. The update, which takes iBooks to version 1.5, includes an all new theme for nighttime reading, a full-screen layout which cuts out distractions, and a greater selection of fonts.

Adobe have today released special ‘editor’ versions of its consumer-focused photo & video editing software – Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 on the Mac App Store. Costing £54.99 each, the titles are individually cheaper than those offered directly from Adobe, but lack some of the features from the standard editions.

Apple have today announced that their popular music creation app GarageBand, is now available for both the iPhone and iPod touch. Previously available for the iPad only, Apple have updated that version to 1.1 and made it universal – the same app now works on all iOS devices.

If you haven’t already set up your own iCloud account, then I recommend you do it as soon as you can – especially if you’re not a MobileMe subscriber. It’s an awesome service that allows you to sync a whole host of personal data between your Mac and iOS devices, such as contacts, calendars, photographs, and documents.
