Available to download via Software Update, Safari 6 includes a number of new features, plus improvements to stability, compatibility, usability & security.

It’s hard to stay on top of the Olympic Games when your boss insists you turn up for work every day, but thanks to the BBC, you’ll be able to watch this year’s events on your iPhone if you’re in the U.K. The new app, named BBC Olympics, is “the only app on which you can watch up to 24 live stream of Olympics action and catch up with all the key highlights and medal moments.”

Having announced that they were working on it back in May, Angry Birds developers Rovio today released Amazing Alex for the iPhone and iPad. Originally based on another game called Casey’s Contraptions, which the Finnish company bought the rights to, Amazing Alex is a physics-based puzzler that involves arranging objects to create chain reactions.

Tweetbot, one of the most popular third-party Twitter clients for iOS, and certainly one of the best, finally made its debut on the Mac this week. It’s in alpha form, so it’s still a very early build. But it boasts everything you’d expect from Tweetbot, including that great user interface.

Having previewed it at Google I/O just under a couple of weeks ago, Google has today released an updated version of its Google+ iOS app which brings new features for the iPhone, and for the first time, full support for the iPad.

Apple has now fixed an App Store bug which caused some recently updated iOS and Mac apps to crash immediately after launch. The glitch, which was highlighted by Instapaper creator Marco Arment after customers deluged him with emails and tweets, was apparently related to DRM code produced by one of Appleās servers.

An apparent fault with Apple’s App Store is causing a large number of recently updated iOS and Mac apps to crash immediately after launch. The problem, which is the result of the store pushing out corrupted app binaries, was spotted by Instapaper developer Marco Arment, who was deluged by emails and tweets from customers after his app was hit by the bug.

During the second day of its I/O 2012 conference, Google announced it would be releasing a version of its Chrome browser for the iPhone and iPad, and just a few hours on from the announcement, the app is now available to download. Chrome for iOS includes tab syncing across devices, unlimited tabs, and an incognito browsing mode.
