However, it has always been up for debate, with strong arguments both for and against a larger iPhone display. But a new video seems to prove that a 4-inch screen is coming to Apple’s sixth-generation device.

Following Facebook’s purchase of the popular photo-sharing app Instagram for $1bn just a few weeks ago, the social network giant has announced the launch of a new camera app for iOS. Facebook Camera allows you to take photos, add filters, share multiple images at a time, and view a feed featuring your friends’ snaps.

Apple has released two new TV adverts for the iPhone 4S featuring the actor John Malkovich. As with previous ads in the series, both focus on the smartphone’s voice-controlled assistant, Siri. In the first commercial, which is titled “Life”, Siri answers a philosophical question. And in the second, titled “Joke”, Siri shows her funny side while helping Malkovich plan a night out.

Sources for The Wall Street Journal claim Apple has ordered displays measuring “at least 4 inches diagonally” for the next-generation iPhone – an increase of half an inch compared to the current models. Manufacturers lined up to provide the screens, include Sharp, LG, and Japan Display – a new display business set up by Sony, Hitachi, and Toshiba.

G-Form, the company who demonstrated the toughness of their iPad cases by dropping one from 100,000 feet, have come up with another extreme test for their line of iPhone cases. They called on the services of NHL goalie Tim Thomas, and had him defended against seven iPhone slap shots!

While Siri has its critics, there’s no denying it’s a pretty incredible feature for Apple’s iPhone. I often use it to set reminders and calendar events, make telephone calls or compose text messages, play music and set alarms. But admittedly, Siri’s feature-set is currently limited.
