Until Apple’s iPhone 5 is announced later this year, only a few people inside the Apple camp in Cupertino, and possibly within certain carriers around the world, know what the fifth-generation iPhone looks like. However, based on those leaked case designs, that may or may not be for the actual iPhone 5, Chinese manufacturers are creating some pretty impressive iPhone 5 clones.

The latest in a string of fancy iPhone 5 concepts hit the web today. Commissioned by MacRumors and created by CiccareseDesign, these are unlike many of the others concepts we’ve seen as they’re actually based on the iPhone 5 case designs previously leaked, and might actually seem like a plausible design for Apple’s fifth-generation iPhone.

Apple has launched two updated iPhone commercials which will quite possibly be the last to feature the company’s iPhone 4 ahead of its rumoured refresh this September. The adverts showcase the device’s awesome ability to act as an iPod, and its App Store, which is undoubtedly unmatched by any of its rivals.

Yesterday I wrote a post about the likely discontinuation of the iPhone 3GS in autumn, and speculated that Apple could choose to kill it off on the same day that they announce their next generation iPhone. Today, a report from a well respected tech blog, claims that Apple will launch a new iPhone in autumn, more specifically – October.

Two new iPhone 4 TV adverts were uploaded to Apple’s YouTube channel over the weekend. The adverts, which showcase AirPlay and FaceTime, continue their “If you don’t have an iPhone…” marketing campaign which began in March.

A report from Digitimes today claims that Taiwan based manufacturer, Pegatron Technology has received an order from Apple for 15 million next-generation iPhones, which would begin shipping in September.
