According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, weaker than expected demand for the iPhone 5 has resulted in Apple reducing component orders for the device. The report, which cites people familiar with the matter, claims the Cupertino company notified manufacturers of the cuts in December.

At the 2013 International Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas today, the company behind the Kickstarter-funded Pebble smartwatch announced that the device has now entered mass production, and will start shipping on the 23rd of January.

A giant, interactive memorial designed to look like an iPhone has been erected in the Russian city of St. Petersburg as a tribute to Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs. The monument features a large, bright display that shows slideshows and videos highlighting various moments throughout Jobs’s life, including some of his famous speeches.

It has two new speaker docks, one of which is compatible with both the fourth-generation iPad and the iPad mini, and the iPhone 5 and latest iPod touch. Following reports from some iOS device owners that the “Do Not Disturb” mode failed to turn itself off on New Year’s Day, Apple has published a support document which says the feature will start working correctly again after the 7th of January.
