Musician and entrepreneur will.i.am, has today launched his i.am+ foto.sosho range of camera add-ons for the iPhone. The accessories (pictured above) feature interchangeable lenses and a slide-out keyboard, while a companion app offers Instagram-style photo filters, editing, and sharing capabilities.

Apple has uploaded a couple of new iPhone 5 TV adverts to its YouTube channel. The first advert, which is titled ‘Orchestra’, demonstrates the noise cancelling capabilities of the iPhone 5’s microphones. And the second, a Thanksgiving-themed advert titled ‘Turkey’, shows off iOS 6’s Shared Photo Streams.

In addition to a range of charging accessories from Belkin and Scosche, Apple’s Lightning connector now has its first official audio accessories. Harman today announced what it claims are the world’s first Lightning connector speaker docks to market – the JBL OnBeat Micro, and the JBL OnBeat Venue LT.

Apple’s new Lightning connector, which was unveiled with the iPhone 5 back in September, now has its first official accessories. Belkin today announced a car charger and a dock, which it says are the first of several new Lightning compatible products that the company will be launching this year.

Apple has today released iOS 6.0.1 for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The update, which includes a number of improvements and bug fixes, can either be downloaded over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update, or by connecting to a Mac or PC running the latest version of iTunes and checking for updates.

EE, the parent company of mobile carriers Orange and T-Mobile, has today launched the UK’s first superfast 4G network. As a result, owners of the iPhone 5 and the soon to be released iPad fourth-generation, should be able to access data speeds of between 8 to 12Mbps on their devices – 5x faster than existing 3G networks.

While Apple’s new Lightning port may be a significant improvement over the nine-year-old 30-pin dock connector, it does come with a few downsides. Your old accessories aren’t compatible, for one, and Apple’s authentication means that only approved accessory manufacturers can use Lightning in their products.

If you pre-ordered a Lightning to 30-pin adapter with your new iPod touch, iPod nano, or iPhone 5 last month, you should expect a shipping notification email to let you know it’s been dispatched imminently. Apple has this week begun emailing customers to let them know that the adapter has now begun shipping.
