Earlier today, Parallels released version 7 of its popular virtualization software that allows you to run Windows alongside OS X on your Mac. The latest edition has over 90 new and enhanced features, including Lion integration, improved performance, and the ability to run multiple versions of OS X.

Just over a week ago, Apple released an update to OS X Lion which appeared to fix a number of bugs, including one which caused some iMacs to freeze when playing videos in Safari. Now there’s a firmware update available for some iMac models that have graphics issues.

Late yesterday, Apple released an update to iTunes which takes it to version 10.4.1. The update, which is available via Software Update, appears to address a number of bugs, including delays opening iTunes after a sleep, and unresponsiveness whilst buying HD movies.

The ability to backup your media library to a CD or DVD has been an iTunes feature for as long as I can remember, but in the latest release of iTunes 10.4, Apple has removed this handy little tool.

The first public update to OS X Lion since its release on the 20th of July, is now available to download via Software Update. The update, which takes Lion to version 10.7.1, addresses a number of bugs, including one which caused some 2011 iMacs to freeze whilst playing videos in Safari.

Just as Apple promised on the day OS X Lion was released in the Mac App Store, you can now also purchase Lion on a USB Thumb Drive from the online Apple Store. The drive, which has the same design as the one that shipped with the 2010 MacBook Air, costs £55.00 ($69.00).

Earlier today Adobe released a beta web creation tool that allows graphic designers to design and publish HTML websites without having to write any code. Based on their cross-platform runtime environment (Adobe Air), the application, which has the temporary code name ‘Muse’, shares many of the features found in Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
