Apple reduce SSD-equipped iMac shipping times

Although the latest iMac was released on the 3rd of May, many early purchasers only received theirs last week – and that’s because they opted for models with an SSD (solid-state drive), which Apple were taking 4-6 weeks to ship. The good news for anyone who hasn’t ordered one yet is that the shipping times have been significantly reduced.

Apple to launch 2011 back to school promotion on Wednesday

According to Chronic Wire, Apple will be updating in-store displays on Tuesday night in preparation for the Wednesday launch of their annual back to school promotion – which offers discounts & deals for students and academic staff purchasing new Macs.
