MacBook Air refresh coming soon?
If you’re thinking about getting a MacBook Air you might just want to delay your purchase for a few more weeks. Earlier this week Digitimes reported that Apple could unveil new updated models as early as next month.

Apple released the third developer preview of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion last Friday. Besides changes to the OS, the preview also included a set of new wallpapers. They feature a lion (unsurprisingly), elephant, flowers & some misty looking landscapes. Continue reading to view them all.
Although it’s design is not universally loved (some people liken it to a toilet seat), I’ve always been a fan of the iBook Clamshell. Released on the 21st of July 1999, it was the first mainstream computer to feature wireless networking. I’m always on the lookout for pristine versions on eBay, which is how I discovered this unusual example.
One of the things I miss about my old MacBook Pro is the backlit keyboard. I know the lack of one on the MacBook Air has put some people off buying it. Companies such as Logitech already make backlit keyboards for desktops, could Apple be planning to do the same?
I can’t remember the last time I visited my local market. While I’m sure it’s popular with many people, it just doesn’t appeal to me. Now if I lived in Cirencester (Gloucestershire, England), there’s a good chance I’d visit my local market on a more frequent basis, and that’s because Cirencester market has a Mac stall!
In a few weeks time I will hopefully be in the possession of one of the new 27″ iMacs, and once I’ve had a chance to play with it I will post a review on here. In the meantime, I thought I would cover some of the different options you can choose from when placing your order. Hopefully it will also be useful for anybody that can’t decide which iMac to buy.
New iMacs are finally here! As expected they feature Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors and the new high-speed Thunderbolt port, which allows you to daisy-chain as many as six devices. There are two 21.5-inch models and two 27-inch models. They are all Quad-Core, include new AMD Radeon HD graphics processors, and have FaceTime HD Cameras.
While I’m not sure I will have it enabled all the time, I love the idea of HazeOver. Created by Maxim Ananov, it’s a Mac App designed to help you focus on the task at hand, by dimming out any inactive windows.
My next major purchase will probably be a new iMac to replace my current ageing 2007 model, so I’ve been waiting patiently for any news regarding updates. Based on a report by 9 to 5 Mac hopefully I won’t have to wait much longer.
