In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams earlier this month, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that production of one of the company’s existing Mac lines would be moving to the United States in 2013. Cook didn’t specify which Mac that would be, but both the Mac Pro and iMac have since been touted as potential candidates.

Apple has released a couple of firmware updates which offer improved sleep performance and greater Thunderbolt and 5GHz Wi-Fi network compatibility for the late 2012 iMac and 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, plus a fix for a HDMI display issue on the MacBook. A third update, for all late 2012 Mac models, also offers greater compatibility when using 5GHz Wi-Fi.

Matrox has announced the world’s first family of Thunderbolt docking stations for Apple’s MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. The Matrix DS1 series promises to deliver “all the productivity benefits of a desktop computer,” using just a single Thunderbolt port.
