The BBC has today introduced iPlayer Radio – a new service dedicated to the corporation’s radio channels. The move sees the audio content taken out of the existing iPlayer and offered as a standalone service, plus the release of a brand new app for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Apple begins shipping Lightning to 30-pin adapters

If you pre-ordered a Lightning to 30-pin adapter with your new iPod touch, iPod nano, or iPhone 5 last month, you should expect a shipping notification email to let you know it’s been dispatched imminently. Apple has this week begun emailing customers to let them know that the adapter has now begun shipping.

Apple extends complimentary iCloud storage for former MobileMe customers

Back in August 2011, Apple announced that MobileMe customers migrating to iCloud would be given complimentary storage upgrades of either 10GB, 20GB, or 50GB, depending on their existing MobileMe plan. Those free upgrades were due to expire last month, but now the company has decided to extend them for an extra year.

Apple remembers Steve Jobs with home page tribute

Marking the first anniversary of Steve Jobs’ passing, Apple has today replaced its usual home page with a tribute to its co-founder and former CEO. Visitors to the site are greeted with a short video slideshow featuring black & white photos of Jobs, which are accompanied by audio clips from some of his most memorable presentations.
