Apple opened the doors to its latest UK retail store at 9.00am this morning. Located in the Harlequin Shopping Centre in Watford, the store is the 34th to be opened by the Cupertino company in the United Kingdom.

Apple started accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 5 today, but it didn’t take long for the initial supply to be exhausted. After just an hour, estimated shipping times for most models slipped to two weeks in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, and Germany.

More than two months after beta versions of Apple’s Notes and Reminders web apps were first discovered, the Cupertino company has made them available to the public. This means you can now access your Notes and Reminders – along with your Mail, Calendar, Contacts and iWork documents – via iCloud.com on any Mac or PC.

Announced at yesterday’s media event, Apple’s new iPhone 5, iPod nano and iPod touch all feature the company’s new smaller Lightning dock connector, which means accessories with older 30-pin connectors won’t be compatible with them.

You’ve probably heard by now that Apple announced the iPhone 5 yesterday, and it’s a pretty incredible smartphone. While it may not boast NFC or a quad-core processor like its Android-powered rivals, it’s by far the most impressive iPhone yet, with a new A6 chip, a larger 4-inch display, 4G LTE connectivity, and more. Another improvement Apple made with the iPhone 5 was to the camera, and it takes some incredible photographs.

Apple didn’t provide a live stream of today’s iPhone media event, but just a few hours after it finished, the complete video of the presentation – around two hours in length – is now available to watch on the company’s website.
