Apple has released a new case for the second and third-generation iPad which shares similar features to the company’s Smart Cover, but also offers protection to the back and sides of the device. The Smart Case is made from polyurethane, comes in six different colours, and is priced at £39 ($49).

While Apple didn’t mention the Mac Pro during yesterday’s WWDC Keynote, it hasn’t been completely neglected by the company. After the Apple Store came back online it was discovered that the desktop had been given slightly faster Xeon processors and more RAM.

Apple didn’t provide a live stream of today’s WWDC Keynote address, but they have already posted the video of it on their website. Highlights from the event include updates to the company’s portable Macs, and demonstrations of OS X Mountain Lion and iOS 6.

Having announced updates to the current-generation 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros at today’s WWDC Keynote, Phil Schiller unveiled what the company are calling the “next generation MacBook Pro”. The new machine boasts an ultra-slim form factor (0.71 inches thick), a 15.4-inch Retina display, and flash-based storage.

Following the announcement of updates to the MacBook Air lineup at today’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote, Apple’s Phil Schiller announced updates to the company’s MacBook Pro models. The new laptops feature Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processors, USB 3.0, and Nvidia GeForce GT 650m GPUs.
