OS X developers will need to sandbox their apps from March

When Apple launched OS X Lion earlier this year, one of its most significant changes under-the-hood was a new sandboxing system that is intending to increase your system’s security. While the feature is mostly good news for users, it’s not so great for developers, who must ensure that their applications support sandboxing if they wish to sell them in the Mac App Store from March 2012.

Apple have today announced that their popular music creation app GarageBand, is now available for both the iPhone and iPod touch. Previously available for the iPad only, Apple have updated that version to 1.1 and made it universal – the same app now works on all iOS devices.

Firmware updates released for 2011 Macs

Survey reveals U.K. consumers are ‘disappointed’ with iPhone 4S

I’ve been using my iPhone 4S for just over a week now, and I’ve got to say, I love it. I loved my iPhone 4, so anything that improves upon that was going to be a winner in my book. Admittedly I was slightly disappointed that there was no iPhone 5 at Apple’s media event earlier this year, but I was still pleased with the iPhone 4S.

Apple releases MacBook Pros with minor updates

Earlier today, without any fanfare, Apple released updates to its MacBook Pro line of laptops. The updates, which are fairly minor, include slightly faster processors across the board, and bigger hard drives for some models. Prices remain the same as the previous generation.
