iPad reaches 100,000 apps milestone

When the original iPad was released back on the 3rd of April 2010, there was around 3000 native apps available for it. Exactly 453 days later, that figure has grown to over 100,000 in the US App Store, and the UK App Store isn’t too far behind at 98,874.

Access the WWDC 2011 session videos for free

It currently costs £65 ($99) per year to join the iOS or Mac developer programs – if you don’t fancy paying that, but are curious to see the latest innovations in iOS and OS X you can also access the videos by joining the free Safari developer program.

Apple reduce SSD-equipped iMac shipping times

Although the latest iMac was released on the 3rd of May, many early purchasers only received theirs last week – and that’s because they opted for models with an SSD (solid-state drive), which Apple were taking 4-6 weeks to ship. The good news for anyone who hasn’t ordered one yet is that the shipping times have been significantly reduced.
