While iCloud and iOS 5 were the main talking points at this year’s WWDC, there were some juicy new details regarding Apple’s upcoming Mac OS X Lion operating system, too. Most importantly was the announcement of its release date.
Along with pushing out basic iCloud functionality to iOS 4.3 compatible devices yesterday, Apple also released iTunes 10.3 beta. Of all the announcements made at the WWDC keynote, iOS 5 appears to be the one area where Apple have really listened to user feedback and complaints. Amongst the many announcements at the WWDC keynote today, it was confirmed that Mac OS X Lion will be released in July as a 4GB download from the Mac App Store, and it will cost just £20.99 ($29.99).
Nobody knows yet whether or not Apple will provide a live stream of Monday’s WWDC keynote, but if they do and you happen to live in London then you might want to head over to the Wood Marylebone pub where the London Mac User Group is holding a special meeting.
