One Apple fan has managed to snap a picture of workmen erecting an iCloud banner as Apple prepares San Francisco’s Moscone West for the start of WWDC on Monday.

In an effort to compete with Apple’s Mac App Store, Amazon has just launched its own download store for Mac OS X that boasts a plethora of applications and games from some of the biggest developers, including Aspyr, Feral Interactive and Electronic Arts. Though it may be good for Apple to have some competition when it comes to digital software delivery, I don’t think there’s much hope for Amazon’s latest venture.

The second-generation of Apple’s retail stores rolled out around the world today, commemorating the company’s 10th anniversary in retail. In addition to store staff sporting party hats, one of the main changes to the new Apple store is the introduction of iPads that act as interactive product labels.

Apple released the third developer preview of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion last Friday. Besides changes to the OS, the preview also included a set of new wallpapers. They feature a lion (unsurprisingly), elephant, flowers & some misty looking landscapes. Continue reading to view them all.

If you own a second generation Apple TV, look out for an update the next time you turn it on. Released earlier today, it takes the Apple TV iOS to 4.2.2. Don’t expect any new features or functionality though, it appears to be more of a bug fix related update.

Earlier today Adobe released three Photoshop Touch Applications for the iPad. Developed using their Photoshop Touch SDK, they demonstrate how touchscreen devices like the iPad can be used in conjunction with the latest desktop version of Photoshop.
