Microsoft launches Office 365 Home Premium

Microsoft has today announced the worldwide availability of Office 365 Home Premium for consumers. The cloud-based subscription service allows users to access the full Office suite on up to five Macs, PCs, or Windows tablet devices for £79.99 ($99.99) per year, or £7.99 ($8.34) per month.

Twitter launches ‘Vine’ video sharing app for iPhone

Twitter has today launched Vine, a brand new app for the iPhone and iPod touch that allows users to capture and share short looping videos on their devices. Just as Twitter is restricted to 140 characters, Vine too has a limit – each video created with the app can only be a maximum of six seconds in length.

Apple announces record Q1 2013 results, $54.5 billion in revenue, $13.1 billion net profit

Apple has just announced its earnings for its first fiscal quarter of 2013. The Cupertino company reported record Q1 revenue of $54.5 billion and a record net profit of $13.1 billion, or $13.81 per diluted share. By comparison, for the same quarter last year, it reported revenue of $46.3 billion and a net profit of $13.06 billion, or $13.87 per diluted share.
