Apple adds Fusion Drive option to entry-level iMac

When Apple’s latest iMacs went on sale at the end of November, the company’s new Fusion Drive storage solution was only available as a build-to-order component with the high-end 21.5-inch, and both 27-inch models. But now the option has been afforded to the entry-level 21.5-inch iMac.

Apple to report Q1 2013 earnings on January 23rd

Apple acknowledges “Do Not Disturb” bug, will resolve itself on the 7th of January

Apple’s false advertising claim against Amazon Appstore is dismissed by judge

Apple’s false advertising claim against Amazon’s Appstore service for Android has been dismissed today. The Cupertino company sued Amazon for its use of the Appstore name back in early 2011, believing it to be too similar to its own App Store trademark, leading to confusion amongst consumers.

App piracy community Hackulous shuts down

In what would appear to be a small but significant victory against app piracy on iOS, Hackulous, the community responsible for the popular jailbreak app Installous, has announced that it has shut down. Apparently the closure, which was first noted by iDownloadBlog, is due to a stagnant community and a lack of forum activity.

Apple to move Mac mini production to the US?

In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams earlier this month, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that production of one of the company’s existing Mac lines would be moving to the United States in 2013. Cook didn’t specify which Mac that would be, but both the Mac Pro and iMac have since been touted as potential candidates.
