Apple has uploaded a couple of new iPhone 5 TV adverts to its YouTube channel. The first advert, which is titled ‘Orchestra’, demonstrates the noise cancelling capabilities of the iPhone 5’s microphones. And the second, a Thanksgiving-themed advert titled ‘Turkey’, shows off iOS 6’s Shared Photo Streams.

Apple has released “Supplemental Update 2.0” for those running OS X Mountain Lion that addresses an issue with Keychain that can affect 2012 Macs. The update is recommended for all machines released this year, including both notebooks and desktops.

While we wait for Apple to iron out the kinks in its Maps app, and for Google to put the finishing touches on its standalone Google Maps app, courtesy of Nokia, there’s now another mapping service to try. The Finnish smartphone maker has today released HERE Maps – a free app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Like most large retailers, Apple will be holding a Black Friday sale online, and in its retail stores, this Friday, the 23rd of November. The company has started promoting the event by adding banners and a special page to a number of its online stores, including Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and here in the UK.

Having already introduced a number of iOS features to the Mac with OS X 10.7 Lion and 10.8 Mountain Lion, Apple looks set to continue the trend with its next-generation desktop operating system. According to a report published earlier today by 9to5Mac, OS X 10.9 could feature both Siri and Maps integration.

When Apple removed Google Maps from iOS 6 and replaced it with its own mapping service, Google immediately began working on a native app that would bring it back to the iOS – much to the delight of users who have found Apple’s Maps app far too problematic. According to The Wall Street Journal, it’s now putting the finishing touches on that app before it’s submitted to Apple.

Harman today announced what it claims are the world’s first Lightning connector speaker docks to market – the JBL OnBeat Micro, and the JBL OnBeat Venue LT.
