Confirmed: new iPad 2s have better battery life

As we previously reported, when Apple lowered the price of the iPad 2, they also added a smaller, more energy efficient A5 processor to the device. At the time it was thought that the new chip should offer improved better battery life, and this has now been confirmed.

EA killing off Rock Band for iPhone at the end of May, will no longer be playable for current owners [updated]

While plenty of iOS apps cease to be updated or supported by companies after a period of time, I’ve never heard of one being expired before. That’s what EA are apparently doing with the original Rock Band for iPhone – owners of the game have been told that after the 31st of May it will no longer be playable on their device.

Browett began his role at Apple last month after leaving Dixons Retail here in the U.K., where he was CEO since 2007.

He currently carries four around with him – two iPhone 4S’s (Verizon and AT&T versions), a Motorola DROID RAZR Android phone, and a Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows 7.5 Mango. While the iPhone remains his favourite, he’s a huge fan of the Windows Phone UI.

Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of industrial design, has won the British Visionary Innovator award for 2012. Credited with designing revolutionary products like the iPod, the iPad, the iPhone, and the MacBook Air, Ive picked up the award with almost 50% of the votes.
