Apple announces updates to the current generation MacBook Air, Ivy Bridge processors and USB 3.0

At today’s WWDC keynote address in San Fransisco, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller, took to the stage to announce updates to the company’s portable Macs – starting with the MacBook Air.
Like the previous generation models, the new MacBook Airs are available in 11-inch and 13-inch designs. They feature Intel’s latest Core i5 and Core i7 dual-core Ivy bridge processors, Intel HD 4000 graphics, FaceTime HD cameras, and USB 3.0.
Available Configurations:
11-inch – 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB memory, 64GB flash storage, Intel HD Graphics 4000.
11-inch – 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB memory, 128GB flash storage, Intel HD Graphics 4000.
13-inch – 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB memory, 128GB flash storage, Intel HD Graphics 4000.
13-inch – 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB memory, 256GB flash storage, Intel HD Graphics 4000.
Prices for the new MacBook Airs start at £849 ($999) for the 11-inch model, and £999 ($1099) for the 13-inch model. The new machines are available to order today.
